Commonwealth LNG and MET Group have signed a heads of agreement (HoU) for the supply of one million tonnes per annum (mtpa) of liquefied natural gas (LNG).
Commonwealth LNG will provide the 20-year supply from its facility to be built in Louisiana, United States.
The agreement is valid upon the start of commercial operations of the LNG export terminal, scheduled for 2027. A definitive sale and purchase agreement (SPA) between the companies is still pending.
Commonwealth LNG expects to take a final investment decision (FID) on the project in the first half of 2024.
