Genex Power and EnergyAustralia have signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) related to the third development phase of the Kidston wind power project in Queensland, Australia. According to the PPA, EnergyAustralia will offtake 30% of the facility's output at a fixed price for 10 years after operations begin.
Kidston Stage 3 (KS3), which is developed by Genex in partnership with J-POWER, is expected to have 258MW of capacity. To further support the project's financing, the remaining capacity of KS3 will also be offered and negotiated with other companies.
In the next months, feasibility studies will be carried out to advance KS3's development.
