Abu Dhabi Future Energy (Masdar) has firmed three agreements related to the development of a wind power and two solar power projects. To be built in Azerbaijan, the plants will have a combined capacity of 1GW.
The signing of these agreements advances the company's plan to install 10GW of clean energy projects in the country as disclosed in June 2022.
Masdar has recently inaugurated Garadagh, a solar park in Azerbaijan with a capacity of 230MW. It will be able to power 110,000 homes and avoid 200,000 tonnes of carbon emissions per year.
