The Terra Nova floating, production, storage, and offloading (FPSO) unit is back into production in Canada. The vessel spent several months in Ferrol, Spain, going through works for its asset life extension project that is now complete.
The FPSO, which is placed offshore Newfoundland and Labrador province, had its operational life extended through 2031. Production is planned to increase in the next months as well.
The Terra Nova field is operated by Suncor Energy with a 48% stake and in partnership with Cenovus (34%) and Murphy Oil (18%).
