Saipem has secured two contract worth US$1.9bn combined from ExxonMobil and Equinor. The contract from ExxonMobil will require the company's works offshore Guyana, while Equinor's contract is related to a project in Brazil.
According to the agreement with ExxonMobil, Saipem will be responsible for the design, fabrication, and installation of subsea structures, flowlines, risers, and umbilicals for a subsea production facility to be installed at the Whiptail field, in the Stabroek block.
Equinor, meanwhile, chose Saipem for the Raia project, where the contractor will transport and install a subsea gas export line and associated equipment. Horizontal drilling activities for the shore approach are also included in the work scope.
