Intelligent Investments Group (ILI) has agreed to sell the 450MW Red John pumped hydro project in the UK to Statkraft. The scheme in Scotland was owned by ILI since its initial conception phase in 2015 and is now ready for development
The facility, which received all necessary government approval in 2021, is planned to be built approximately 14km off Inverness.
A final investment decision (FID) on the project by Statkraft is now the only step pending before advancing to construction phase.
